Russia has found a replacement for Western electronics: components will be sent by Belarus

It was not possible to “import substitutes” chips in the Russian Federation, so they decided to ask Lukashenka for help.

Russian media reported that soon enterprises in the Russian Federation will receive microelectronics from the Belarusian manufacturer JSC “Planar”. Interfax.ru writes that Russia and Belarus have agreed to supply critical electronic components.

Recently, the President of Belarus Lukashenko visited the Planar enterprise, which produces electronics. He noted that during this visit, the list of electronic goods to be supplied by Belarus to Russia was approved and a road map was drawn. The politician emphasized that the first batches of products have already been sent to the Russian Federation. In addition, he informed reporters about the agreement on the creation of a Belarusian-Russian template production for the manufacture of microcircuits. According to him, both countries will be able to reduce their dependence on foreign components and technologies.

Lukashenka emphasized that Belarus can replace Western microelectronics for Russia, because the country has “all the necessary qualifications”. The politician hopes that the Russian Federation will increase orders by purchasing chips and various components for the needs of state companies such as Rosatom, Roskosmos and Ruselectronics.

Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik said that in 7 years, Belarus will try to increase its microelectronic sales revenues by 3.3 times compared to 2021, up to $330-350 million.
