This eVTOL can fly at 100 km/h at an altitude of 300 m without a pilot’s license.

The manufacturer plans to open rental offices worldwide for thrill seekers.

According to the news of Dronelife, LIFT Aircraft made the first manned flight in Japan with the vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft named HEXA.

The single air taxi is equipped with 6 rotors and can fly at a speed of up to 100 km/h at a height of 300 m. It is controlled by a joystick and has automatic stabilization and safety systems and does not require a special license or training to fly.

LIFT Aircraft plans to launch HEXA flying taxi commercial operation in different countries of the world and wants to create a network of aircraft rental points where people can book flights via a mobile application. Also, the company sees the possibility of using HEXA for entertainment, tourism, rescue operations and cargo delivery.

But HEXA already has a worthy competitor from China. Recently, EHang performed a demonstration flight with the two-seat EH216. This is a more powerful and larger device that can fly up to 600m altitude at speeds of up to 130km/h. It is also controlled by a joystick or autopilot.

Experts say that Japan and China are very interested in the development of eVTOL technologies. Both countries see such devices as a way to solve the problems of overpopulation, pollution and traffic congestion. Engineers say eVTOL is the future of urban aviation and could change the way people and goods move around the world.
