“Ukrainian Roy”: Danilov announced the emergence of drones with a range of 3 thousand km in the Armed Forces

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are working on the emergence of a drone air army capable of hitting targets in Moscow and in the depths of Russia.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, announced that attack drones with a range of more than 3,000 km will enter service in Ukraine. He announced this on March 29. twitter.

He did not specify the exact number of UAVs, but implied that there were thousands. Their range is thousands of kilometers, which makes it possible to destroy enemy objects and equipment even far from the capital of the Russian Federation.

“Roy the Ukrainian” is named after Matthias Rust,” said Danilov.

The author of the message also posted a photo with the plane of German Matthias Rust. The pilot landed on Red Square in Moscow in 1987. He flew over a thousand miles. The USSR managed to bypass the air defense system and enter the territory of a communist country without any special obstacles. The four-seat light aircraft Cessna 172B Skyhawk has landed on the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge. He got off the plane and started signing autographs. Later, Soviet law enforcement arrested him.

Recall that the Russians on social networks claimed that the Ukrainians bought components for 100,000 drones from China. Forbes analyzed the information and reported that they are likely talking about relatively inexpensive FPV drones equipped with powerful video cameras. The drone can be used as a radio-controlled kamikaze robot. In size, such devices are smaller than standard quadcopters. In this case, the technique can precisely hit targets at a relatively significant distance from the operator controlling it via video link.

The Defense Express broadcast on March 29 evaluated how real the possibility of creating a fleet of drones in Ukraine is. Analysts noted that kamikaze-type FPV drones could become a major weapon in the arsenal of the Ukrainian army due to their low cost and high efficiency. At the same time, the government and manufacturers have their own limitations, as the delivery of devices requires time and significant funds.
