Iran has developed a new kamikaze drone that can hit targets up to 450 kilometers away. This was reported by the Iranian edition of “Tasnim News” on April 9 yesterday.
General Ali Kuhistani, head of the IRGC Land Forces Research and Self-sufficiency Jihad Organization, said the new UAV is named Me’raj-532.
The drone, which has a reciprocating engine, can travel 450 kilometers in one direction. The mass of the warhead is 50 kilograms, it can take off from a vehicle and stay in the air for up to 3 hours. The practical flight ceiling is 3,600 meters.
The Me’raj-532 is reportedly mobile and can be assembled and launched quickly and easily.
