The appearance of Smart #3 certainly did not come as a surprise, as we have had the opportunity to see it several times thanks to a series of photos that appeared on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Transportation. At the front level, which bears some resemblance to that of the Smart #1, we see slim-shaped CyberSparks Led headlights and a large grille at the bottom. At the rear, on the other hand, a coupe-shaped roof line stands out, which allowed the brand to improve aerodynamic efficiency and horizontally developed light blocks. It is larger than the Smart #1 and will be available in new colors including Photon Orange Metallic and Electric Blue Matte.

Even if no further information has been provided, thanks to what has come to light in the past, we already know that the car is based on the Geely SEA platform and measure approximately 4400 mm long, 1800 mm wide and 1600 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2785 mm.


As for the interior, the automaker only talks about the presence central 12.8-inch screen and more space than the Smart #1 thanks to its longer wheelbase. However, there will be a small instrument screen behind the wheel. In addition, the car will be able to count on a new shade of Vibrant Brown for the cabin and a 13-speaker Beats audio system.

Nothing has been officially said about the powertrains, but according to what appeared on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Transportation, the Smart #3 will be offered with both Smart #1 powertrains. Therefore, we are talking about an electric motor with a power of 200 kW (272 hp) with a torque of 343 Nm and a power unit with a double electric motor capable of delivering 315 kW (428 hp) with a torque of 543 Nm. Both will be powered by a 66 kWh battery. Rather, we will need to understand whether these two options will appear immediately on the European model or a more efficient model will debut later.

Therefore, it remains only to wait for new news about the European debut of this new car.
