This radar saves the life of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: it intercepts 90% of enemy aircraft (video)

Radar manufacturer TRML-4D is about to make record profits, thanks to the good performance of its systems in the fight against the Russian aggressor.

German Hensoldt AG, which makes the medium-range TRML-4D radar, expects orders to increase this year, Bloomberg reports. The company delivered to Ukraine four radars used as part of the IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system manufactured by the Bavarian company Diehl Defense.

Since it has been proven on the front that it is possible to intercept more than 90% of all enemy aircraft thanks to the TRML-4D, the company has received a large number of orders. The company delivered to Ukraine four truck-mounted radars used as part of the IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system manufactured by the Bavarian company Diehl Defense.

“The best radar in the world today,” said Thomas Müller, the company’s CEO. “At the end of the year, we will provide Ukraine with two more such radars,” he said.

Thanks to the ingenious use of the manufacturer’s APU radars, Hensoldt AG has already made a profit of $1.9 billion last year from orders for the TRML-4D. In addition, the company does not expect to receive orders for its other systems and generate less revenue this year.

Germany is currently in talks with Diehl Defense to purchase up to eight IRIS-T systems for the planned European Sky Shield initiative. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the creation of a 100 billion-euro fund to modernize the armed forces and promised to increase defense spending to at least 2% of annual GDP.

“Russia’s attack on Ukraine caused public opinion to turn 180 degrees towards the defense industry.”
