Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Pickup going to land in Europe. The choice to start with Norway is obviously not surprising, given that in 2022 the share of electric vehicles in this market accounted for almost 80% of all new registrations.
Norway will offer Lariat Launch Edition The electric pickup truck, which will be available in a limited edition only in Antimatter Blue and Super Crew Cab, will begin deliveries next year. The price (not final) is NOK 1,183,000, which is almost 102,000 euros.
In the United States, the Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck is offered in Standard Range and Long Range variants. Apparently, at least initially, this electric model will be sold in Norway in the version Standard range with 98 kWh battery which allows a range according to the EPA cycle (more accurate than the WLTP cycle) 386 km.
The pickup can also rely on a powertrain consisting of a double electric motor. 337 kW and 1050 Nm of maximum torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes less than 5 seconds. From a 150kW DC column, the battery can go from 15% to 80% charge in 39 minutes. On the other hand, with alternating current, a pickup truck can supply energy with a maximum power of 11 kW.
The energy of the traction battery can also be used to power external electrical devices with a maximum power of up to 2.3 kW. The new Ford F-150 Lightning has a towing capacity of 3493 kg. In the car interior Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system combined with a 15.5-inch vertical touch screen.
