On April 20, a 120-foot Starship rocket still took off from SpaceX space center in Texas, but exploded after a few minutes of flight. According to Elon Musk, a new launch into space will be possible in 6-8 weeks. The purpose of this repeated test flight is the same: a 50-metre Starship spacecraft must complete a spacewalk and then return safely.
But in addition to solving technical problems, SpaceX needs to obtain launch clearance from the US Federal Aviation Administration. So far, the regulator, along with Musk’s company, is investigating the reasons for the April 20 failed flight.
