Nissan Italy, sales of electrified models more than double May 12, 2023 1

nissan launched 5 new electrified models last year: the Juke Hybrid and Qashqai and the X-Trail with e-POWER technology, as well as two new all-electric vehicles: the Ariya crossover and the Townstar light commercial vehicle. In fiscal year 2022, which runs from April 2022 to March 2023, a car manufacturer in Italy only 32,769 vehicles sold, which corresponds to an increase of 19% over the previous 12 months. The market share is growing and is 2.1%.

In sales to private customers, the most important channel in the Italian market, Nissan achieved the best results in the last five years with a share of 2.6%. Sales of electrified models are very goodWith volumes more than doubled compared to the previous year, an increase of 144%. With 20,454 units registered in 12 months, Nissan achieved a 62% share of these PSUs compared to a market share of 40% for electrified.


Approximately 9 months after the launch, more than 7500 Italian customers have chosen e-POWER models, 15% of customers in Europe (more than 50,000 today) have chosen this technology.

The Japanese company’s crossover sales also rose to 23,475 units, up 37% year-on-year, with the sales share reaching 78%, up 10 percentage points. Excellent results in particular for the Nissan Qashqai, which, with 15,347 units, ranks fifth among C-SUV crossovers and seventh among the best-selling electrified vehicles in Italy.
