Brad Josephs visited Lake Clark National Park and Preserve in Alaska, in the south of the USA, to observe the life of wild animals. He was lucky to witness the fierce fight between two unequal brown bears. One of the bears was larger and older than the other, and both predators fought for the right to dominate during the mating season.

The wildlife photographer managed to capture a unique video of this gripper and posted it on his YouTube channel, which has already received 425,000 views at the time of publication. According to Josephs, the fight lasted almost 9 minutes and was the longest and most intense grizzly bear fight he had ever seen.

In the video, you can see that the fight begins in a position on all fours, then the bears stand on two legs, and these predators continue to find out which of them is the main male during the mating season. After a while the bears looked tired, but then they gathered their strength and continued to fight. Eventually one of the bears lost the battle and retreated, bowing his head in submission.

All fours brown bears can reach 1 to 1.5 meters in height and reach 2.7 meters when standing on two legs. At the same time, male brown bears can weigh up to 400 kg.

During the mating season, which lasts from May to July, the larger males usually chase their smaller relatives. But if the grizzly bears are approximately the same size, then a struggle for dominance ensues.

Alaska is home to half of the 60,000 grizzly bears that live in North America.

As already written Focus A tourist in the USA risked his life to take a selfie with a brown bear. The man was not injured, he endangered not only himself, but also the animal.

Moreover Focus He wrote that scientists first filmed humpback whales while they were bathing. The researchers managed to capture a fascinating moment as humpback whales “cleansed feathers” from the seafloor.
