A small UAF drone blew up a $374,000 Russian BTR 82-A armored personnel carrier with grenades (video)

The incident occurred in the direction of Ugledar.

The Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discovered an armored personnel carrier and attacked it with a drone. They posted a video of working on the target on social networks.

“The crew of the first battalion of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mikhail Bilinsky discovered and determined the position of an enemy armored personnel carrier in the Donetsk region,” the report says.

The video shows how the drone fired several grenades, followed by a series of explosions; one of them was the strongest judging by their puff of smoke. From this we can conclude that the drone hit the exact target.

It is known that the Russian armored personnel carrier model 82A was developed on the basis of the Soviet armored personnel carrier 80, created in the early 1980s and based, respectively, on the BTR-70 model. Such armored personnel carriers are assembled at the Arzamas Machine-Building Plant and are equipped with 30 mm 2A72 automatic cannons. As for the BTR-82A, it was adopted by the RF Armed Forces 10 years ago – in 2013. The same machines are in service with the army of Kazakhstan.

As of 2016, the cost of such an armored personnel carrier is 29-30 million rubles, that is, 374,618 dollars.

Earlier, we reported that a Russian reconnaissance aircraft SuperCam fell into the hands of Ukrainian defenders. Equipped with a large number of cameras, it can conduct reconnaissance and surveillance at night and in bad weather conditions. It seems that the drone was undamaged.
