On the very slow growth of electric vehicles in Italy, UNRAE emphasizes that intervention is needed on several fronts, starting with the fiscal to re-tax mixed-use company vehicles, which are central to the spread of zero-emission mobility. UNRA President, Michael Criscis:

The consideration of the DDL Delegation on Tax Reform, which has entered the center of the parliamentary debate, is an opportunity to maintain a fundamental role for the revision of car taxation, as envisaged by the amendments proposed by UNRAE and presented by various MPs to the House Finance Committee, whom we thank for sharing the urgency and opportunity, strongly hoping for a quick and complete approval.

In addition, UNRAE highlights the need to address accumulated delays in terms of recharging infrastructure.

The deadline for operators to submit projects for the construction of public charging stations is June 9, this is an opportunity not to be missed, the deadline is very tight, only 8 days left for the presentation of projects and after their approval and disbursement of loans should be completed in just 12 months. We hope that all actors involved, public and private, will do whatever is necessary to make this provision work.

As for recharging, Chrisci hopes that MIMIT has finally issued guidelines for the purchase and installation of recharging speakers by individuals and condominiums.
