Hacking the IT structure of the Federal Air Transport Agency: chronology of events
At the beginning of 2022, 2 months before all servers crashed, a young girl was recruited by the Federal Air Transport Agency. She took a position in the Office of Digitization and she did not undergo any serious checks. She was just doing her job.
Already at the end of March, just 2 months after employment, the girl decides to leave voluntarily, and a few days later the servers of the Federal Air Transport Agency crash.
“The security forces initiate a check and find out that the girl has dual citizenship (Russia and Ukraine), went to Belarus after her dismissal, and then her trace was lost. In parallel, against the backdrop of a noisy scandal, the head of the Federal Air Transport Digitization Agency, Alla da Syasina’ either writes a letter of resignation”.
After the system was hacked, the department temporarily went into paper mode and experts tried to recover the data. Some have been permanently deleted.
The investigation is trying to determine all the circumstances of the digital sabotage and is also looking for people who may have been involved in it.
Recall, on June 10, it was reported that an official from the Federal Air Transport Agency in the Russian Federation was fined and fired for hanging an anti-war poster in the office. In court, he was accused of “discrediting” the RF Armed Forces, after which he was asked to write a statement of his own free will.
