An analogue of the Polish kamikaze drone Warmate in the Iranian version, most likely, will soon be taken by the Russian occupying army to attack Ukraine.
WP Tech writes that at a recent military demonstration in Iran, military representatives showed off a new Zhobin drone, an almost exact replica of the Polish Warmate UAV. The publication states that it is only a matter of time before this drone falls into the hands of the Russian invaders, because Iran has long been actively supplying all combat drones there.
It is known about the Polish Warmate that it is a kamikaze aircraft (travel munitions), created thanks to the efforts of WB Electronics and the Polish Institute of Military Weapons Technology. It can be used for surveillance and information gathering, but the mission of the UAV is to launch deadly attacks on enemy soldiers and equipment. Warmate’s weight is about 5.7 kg and its speed reaches 80 km/h. It has interchangeable warheads (combat or reconnaissance), each with different characteristics and designed for different missions. Meanwhile, Warmate unmanned aerial vehicles are actively and successfully used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For example, with the help of Warmate, the valuable Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft system was recently destroyed and the barracks where the invaders were located were attacked.
Polish experts point out that copying military equipment is not a new practice, and therefore it is not surprising that Iran copied this kamikaze drone. Most likely, the Russians managed to capture the Polish drone in Ukraine and hand it over to Iranian military engineers, because they understand drones much better than the Russian military-industrial complex.
As for the Iranian copy, namely the Zhobin drone, its exact specifications are unknown. Of course, Iranian engineers have simplified and perhaps even improved in some ways their components for faster production. For example, Polish military experts noted an enlarged antenna on the body of the drone; this could indicate that the kamikaze drone is getting longer range.
But so far, only one prototype has been shown at an exhibition in Iran. Its properties can still vary significantly. The only thing that experts do not doubt is that a copy of the Polish drone will be used by the Russians on the territory of Ukraine.
Previously Focus He wrote that the Chinese fighter jet Scorpion A has become more deadly. Military engineers improved the design so that the UAV could carry more ammunition.
