Representatives of the municipality of Burgas said that among the exhibits is the Rosetta Stone, which helps archaeologists understand the meaning of Egyptian hieroglyphs.

The exhibition in Burgas, Bulgaria will feature over 100 unique artifacts related to ancient Egyptian history. The Bulgarian News Agency, citing the local municipality’s press centre, reported that these are copies of the original items.

The “Tales of Egypt” exhibition will be held from August 18 to September 19 at the Convention Center.

Among the exhibits is the Rosetta Stone, which helps archaeologists understand the meaning of Egyptian hieroglyphs, city officials said.

The organizers of the event also plan to hold meetings with visitors and tell in detail the centuries-old history of ancient Egyptian civilization.

In 1822, the French philologist Jean-Francois Champollion deciphered the hieroglyphs of the Rosetta Stone. Thus, the mystery of the ancient Egyptian text was revealed. In the last few years science has advanced in the field of translating dead languages, and artificial intelligence is helping.

Recall that archaeologists say they have finally solved the mystery of how large blocks were transported for the pyramids in Egypt. And these are not aliens who landed on Giza as conspiracy theorists claim.

Historians have long been interested in the question of how the Egyptian pyramids came to be and how their components were moved without modern technology such as cranes. But scientists now say they’ve probably already answered that question.
