It looks like an even more extreme version of the Alpine A110 R is on the way. This model was introduced in October 2022 and is distinguished by the presence of a number of solutions designed to make the car very fast between the turns of the track. As it turns out, the automaker is working on something much more special.
Really, at the Nurburgring an Alpine A110 forklift was intercepted. A car that suggests that a new, even more extreme version of the French sports car is in development. The prototype appears to be based on the Alpine A110 R, but with some specific differences. First, we can observe the presence of a slightly modified bumper in the forms with larger air intakes and a new splitter. The hood, on the other hand, has large vents.
The prototype appears to have retained the side skirts and diffuser of the Alpine A110 R. However, behind it we can see the presence of new adjustable spoiler. Alloy wheels have a new design. In addition, you can see the presence of an enlarged brake system with red calipers.
The spy photos do not show the interior. However, since this is a track version of a sports car, it is likely that we will find a cabin similar to that of the A110 R. As for the engine, there is obviously no exact information. We only recall that the current A110 R can count on 1.8 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. This unit is capable give out 300 hp at 340 Nm of torque.
It is not yet clear when Alpine will be able to introduce this new version of its sports car. However, it is possible that we will have to wait until the end of the year or the beginning of 2024. It remains only to wait for more information from the French automaker.
