New Smart #3 presents himself to the European public at IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich. The new electric model, unveiled in China at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, is now set to debut in the Old Continent. In Germany, it will appear at the end of this year. However, it will arrive in Italian dealerships in the first quarter of 2024.
The new coupe SUV relies on Geely Group SEA platform. Smart #3 measure Length 4400 mm, width 1800 mm, height 1600 mm, wheelbase 2785 mm. The car can count on Cx 0.27 and rims up to 20 inches. We already know the look of the Smart #3 well, and it features a front end that bears some resemblance to the front end of the Smart #1, featuring slim-shaped CyberSparks Led headlights and a large lower grille. The new Smart No. 3 will be offered with two different powertrains, the same as on the Smart No. 1. Thus, the electric coupe SUV will be available with 200 kW (272 hp) single electric motor in Pro+ and Premium editions or with 315 kW (428 hp) twin-engine engine which will be available in the Brabus version. Speaking of performance, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and 3.7 seconds respectively.
To feed the power unit is always one battery 66 kWh. Smart only claims a range of 435 km to 455 km. With direct current, the battery can be recharged up to a maximum power of 150 kW (from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes).
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Smart brand, the automaker decided to offer its new product in a limited edition. 25th Anniversary Edition which combines the characteristics of the Premium version with some Brabus elements. So, 200kW motor, 22kW AC charger, head-up display, 13-speaker Beats audio system, black and white leather seats, Galaxy panoramic roof and more.
