Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 they offer very high performance and allow those lucky enough to drive them to have fun. ABT recently introduced a “Legacy Edition” of these models, which feature a more powerful engine and a number of design changes to give them a more aggressive look.
Now the German tuner has developed a new technical solution for these cars, allowing them to further improve performance.
In particular, ABT presented the detail water and ethanol injection system, additional to the existing one, controlled by a control unit specially designed by the manufacturer. It is this “mixture” that is contained in the 15-liter tank in the trunk. The filler neck is located under the standard fuel tank door.
The preparer reports that a “full tank” will last for a maximum of 3000 km. This particular “blend” must be ordered directly from ABT. Thanks to this technical solution, the increase in performance is achieved by pressing the RS button on the steering wheel, the engine is able to achieve 736 kW (1000 hp) and torque 1150 Nm..
Be careful, however, maximum performance is only achieved with 102 octane petrol. With the 98 octane engine you will have to make do with 699 kW/940 hp. and 1050 Nm. Following this important increase in performance, ABT revised several engine components, including pistons, intake system and turbines.
ABT doesn’t mention the performance the cars can achieve with this extra power. Speaking of pricing, the Legacy Edition+ fuel injection package is worth the money. 205 thousand euros. However, be careful: the car must be purchased separately. For example, the Audi RS 6 Avant in Italy starts at almost 139 thousand euros.
