E-registration of those responsible for military service has been launched in Ukraine: what personal data will be included in it

It is reported that the Verkhovna Rada has not yet made changes to a number of regulatory legal acts and has not expanded the functionality of the Unified State Register.

The initiative provides for the transfer of information on persons aged 17 to 60 years old, held by the Tax Service, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, Immigration Service, State Register, to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Ministry of Internal Affairs, Central Election Commission and other departments.

Thus, the Ministry of National Defense can access information about the place of residence, work, health status, travel abroad, personal phone numbers and e-mail addresses of people who are obliged to do military service, and much more.

The information to be included in this record includes:

  • Data on personnel needs in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations created in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, excluding information that constitutes a state secret.

Electronic registration of persons responsible for military service in Ukraine: what is known

Since October, the Unified Electronic Register of Persons Responsible for Military Service “Obereg” has been launched in Ukraine. This innovation is designed to simplify the accounting and control of conscripts, reservists and those responsible for military service.

Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov confirmed that the Unified Electronic Register of Persons Entrusted with Military Service is already operational and is constantly replenished with information. According to him, more than 90% of the required information has already been entered into the records.

The Verkhovna Rada also plans to consider Bill 10062, which provides for a significant expansion of resources for filling out the registration of those responsible for military service and the creation of an Electronic Military Service Account.
