Xiaomi, here is its first electric car. It is called Xiaomi SU7 November 15, 2023 81

Xiaomi SU7 is the name of the electronic giant’s first electric car. As we know, Xiaomi has been working on its project to enter the automotive sector for some time now. We’ve talked about this several times over the past few months. Now very important news is coming. In China, the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) publishes a list of all cars that have received approval. It is interesting that photographs of cars and some of their technical characteristics appeared from the site.

Thanks to what leaked from MIIT Now we can take a look at Xiaomi’s first electric car and find out some of its features.

DIMENSIONS AND ENGINES

New Xiaomi SU7 measure Length 4997 mm, width 1963 mm, height 1455 mm, wheelbase 3000 mm. The electric model has fastback lines and can be equipped with 19- or 20-inch wheels with 245/45 R19 and 245/40 R20 tires. In photos leaked from the site you can also see a car with Lidar on the roof as proof that it will have advanced driver assistance features. Judging by the documentation, the Xiaomi car will be offered in Versions SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. Some trim levels will have an active rear wing.

Apparently, the car will be available at least two engines. First with Engine 220 kW and rear wheel drive. The second, however, has a dual engine and all-wheel drive. In general will be available 495 kW (220 kW + 275 kW). The single-engine model will have a BYD battery with LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells, while the more powerful model will have a CATL battery with NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) cells. We know nothing about opportunity and autonomy. However, earlier there was talk of a 101 kWh battery and the use of an 800 V architecture. The motors are made by United Automotive Electronic Systems.

The maximum speed is 210 km/h and 265 km/h, respectively, and the weight is 1980 kg and 2205 kg. The interior isn’t visible, but past spy photos have revealed that the dashboard will be dominated by a large central infotainment display. Behind the steering wheel there is a small digital instrument panel.

Obviously, more detailed information will appear when Xiaomi officially unveils its car. Apparently, the new Xiaomi SU7 will be produced by BAIC starting in December. Deliveries are expected to begin in February 2024.
