The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the Ai-Petri SV electronic warfare system: what an expert thinks about it (video)

The complex looks large-scale, simultaneously solves a number of problems in the fight against Russian drones and is already in operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, no technical specifications are specified.

Ukrainian Armed Forces received the Ai-Petri SV electronic warfare system. Deputy Petro Poroshenko reported this on Facebook and other social networks.

As stated in the description, the complex not only creates noise at all frequencies, but also “obviously interferes with the pilot’s position” and interferes with the operation of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. The complex is said to disorient kamikaze drones and also interfere with the operations of guided bombs.

The system is currently used by the army in the Avdeevsky direction, where it protects artillery and shows “incredible results.”

A new electronic warfare kit against drones was created in Ukraine: large range and high power

“This project is the result of collaboration between our large team of top engineers, experienced military personnel and the Foundation team. We named this project in honor of Ai-Petri, a mountain in Ukrainian Crimea,” the statement said.

As mentioned in the message, the normal development time for such a complex is 3-8 years, but a team of engineers achieved this in 5 months. Now the project team is trying to scale it in line with orders from the military. The complex includes an electronic warfare system, radar station, anti-drone device, autonomous power supply, secure communication, pickup trucks and checkpoints.

It is stated that the complex was created without attracting public funds. 5 Ai-Petri SV complex was transferred to the 18th Technical Intelligence Combat Center.

“These are experienced warriors, but they still have an intensive training course ahead of them because this is a very complex technological complex. Unfortunately, we cannot show everything in the video because the invaders are hunting according to a model that is already working on them. “The competition of minds and technologies, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and competition of electronic warfare. And we must be more modern, more technologically advanced, smarter than the enemy.”

Ukrainian military officer and radio communications specialist Sergei Beskrestnov commented on the news and public reaction on the Telegram channel with the call sign “Flash”. He said that any donations towards the defense of Ukraine are worthy of respect.

The expert alludes to the message itself and makes comments devoid of technical details. He sees in such abstract messages attempts to exploit a popular and important issue.

“Any electronic warfare and electronic warfare systems operate according to the laws of physics. And all experts know these capabilities well. And when I hear the phrase “no analogues” instead of a normal announcement about one of the new Ukrainian electronic warfare systems and some fantasies of people far from the topic, it is only due to the desire to exaggerate Politics has nothing to do with it and there’s no need to mix it up,” Flash points out.

Sergei Beskresnov does not know anything specifically about the Ai-Petri SV electronic warfare complex. He says he knows almost all such treatments in the country, but he doesn’t know this one.

“In detail: I know almost all the products and developments in the country, but they did not show it to me. It is probably top secret, so I cannot say anything objective, good or bad,” Sergei Beskresnov summarizes.

Homing drones are effective against electronic warfare. Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received kamikaze drones with automatic target guidance, which are not afraid of electronic warfare systems (EW).
