The new “Baba Yaga” drops big bombs: the improved unmanned aerial vehicle of the Ukrainian Armed Forces scared the Russians (photo)

According to the invaders, the unusual Ukrainian drone carries powerful ammunition and is equipped with “pipes” for more accurate shooting.

The Russians have discovered new, more powerful and larger Ukrainian drones, which they often call “Baba Yaga”. This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel “Two Majors”.

The source claims: “The new Baba Yaga carries large mines and has tubes for precise delivery of ammunition. In the photos provided you can see a damaged drone, possibly a quadcopter. You can see the propellers and possibly the same firing tubes.” mines There is nothing to compare the dimensions of the UAV.

It seems strange that the drone found by the Russian invaders is white. Usually “Baba Yaga” is used at night due to the daytime visibility of the large drone. The Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain such drones due to their high cost and reusability. A white drone is much easier to spot at night. It is not known whether the color of the UAV is related to its being stopped by the Russians.

Let us remind you that Russians often use the name “Baba Yaga” for the Vampire hexacopter produced by the Ukrainian company SkyFall, but this name seems to be valid for all drones with similar features and usage. The team of engineers started working on the attack aircraft in June 2022 and already had experience creating a reconnaissance model. Vampire is a fairly large drone that lifts a payload of up to 15 kg to an altitude of 400 km. Thanks to this, it can fire various types of ammunition at the enemy: thermobaric, cumulative and high-explosive fragmentation to effectively hit various types of targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces.

Recently the Russians were scared of the new ammunition received by Baba Yaga drones. A cylindrical ammunition consisting of pointed rings on a white rod, secured on three sides. The rings probably break into separate pieces during the explosion. The Russians reported that the rings did not break during the explosion, but flew intact, causing serious injuries. But most likely they still break into small pieces.
