The Lexus UX receives several improvements for the 2024 model year. The new features were announced in early January and the Japanese crossover could now be unveiled. ordered in Italy.
The new model year doesn’t bring much change to the design. The car manufacturer limited itself to introducing a new color, Sonic Copper, available on all versions of the model. A total of 12 colors are available for the Lexus UX 2024, including a contrasting black roof.
We find a few more changes inside the cabin. Lexus offers additional options new 12.3″ display for digital instruments which can be configured in the graphics. Even the infotainment system with touch screen 8-12.3 inches (depending on version).
The Lexus UX 250h Premium Hybrid has been replaced by the new UX 300h.. The powertrain layout does not change and therefore we find a 2-liter inline-four engine combined with two electric motors (all-wheel drive model). In general, there are 199 hp/146 kW (184 hp/135 kW in UX 250h version).
In models equipped with the E-Four all-wheel drive system, a new motor with a power of 30 kW (versus 5.3 kW previously) and a torque of 84 Nm (versus 55 Nm) is installed on the rear axle. New features also include a new lithium-ion battery instead of the previous nickel-metal hydride battery and an upgraded inverter.
Speaking of performance,acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h it takes 7.9 seconds (8.1 seconds for the front-wheel drive model only). Consumption: 5.0 – 5.2 l/100 km for the front-wheel drive model and 5.3 – 5.7 l/100 km for the all-wheel drive model in the WLTP combined cycle. Emissions are 113 – 119 g/km CO2 and 121 – 128 g/km CO2 respectively.
When it comes to security, we are seeing the latest evolution Lexus+ security system. Proactive Driving Assist uses the car’s front camera to detect hazards during low-speed city driving, such as parked cars, cyclists and pedestrians walking on or about to cross the edge of the road. If there is a risk of collision, the system intervenes by braking and steering to help avoid obstacles and keep the vehicle in its lane.
The driver monitor uses a camera mounted above the steering wheel to constantly monitor the driver’s condition. If the system detects loss of concentration due to fatigue or poor health, the system activates visual and audio warnings. If the driver does not react, the car will make a controlled stop with the emergency lights on (Emergency Driving Stop).
Other ADAS systems include Pre-Collision Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, Intersection Turn Assist and Emergency Assist.
The new 2024 Lexus UX 300h is available at Urban, F-Design, F-Sport and Luxury trim levels.. THAT Prices List prices range from 43,500 to 58,000 euros.
The front-wheel drive UX 300e Full Electric model, updated in 2023 with a 72.8 kWh battery, starts from 58,000 euros.
