They shot down a tank in Volchansk: The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a heavy, high-explosive kamikaze UAV in action (video)

According to military analyst Igal Levin, it was only a matter of time before heavy unmanned aerial vehicles were used against tanks of the Russian Armed Forces, and such cases will be recorded again in the future.

Soldiers of the 71st and 57th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two T-72 tanks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the city of Volchansk, Kharkov region. This was announced on the Telegram channel by Yuri Butusov, editor-in-chief of the publication “Censor.Net”.

The journalist noted that military soldiers of the 57th and 71st brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the first tank attack of the Russians with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles sent by many cities and communities in the direction of Kharkiv.

“And soon there will be many more drones,” Yuri Butusov wrote.

The video caught the attention of IDF officer and Military Focus department editor Yigal Levin. He pointed out that one of the tanks was attacked by a heavy, high-explosive kamikaze drone belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the expert, such cases will be re-registered.

“Given the tanks’ strong armor, as well as the anti-drone screens regularly placed on them, it was only a matter of time before Ukrainian operators tried to shoot down a Russian tank with one of these heavy drones to disable it. ”says Yigal Levin.

Let’s remember, in February, the Russian military showed that an unknown Ukrainian attack UAV crashed into a field. Canadian physicist and drone expert DanielR noted that the UAV has a relatively large (14 kg) cumulative high-explosive fragmentation munition.

In November last year, the UNITED24 platform reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces received a large batch of 3,000 FPV drones, supplemented with cumulative and high-explosive fragmentation ammunition of Ukrainian production.
