MG ZS 2025, will the new SUV be like this? Rendering shows possible design June 15, 2024 1

MG is working on the new generation of the ZS, a model that has achieved good success over time. The current generation was released in 2017, so it’s time for a major update. The new SUV from the brand, now owned by SAIC Group, should debut between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. In recent months, the first spy photos of the new model have already appeared, obviously disguised for now.

Based on these images and some information about the characteristics of this car, colleagues from Motor.es made a render who is trying to introduce them the final forms of the SUV.

HYBRID TECHNOLOGY

The new model should have the same proportions as the current generation. However, it should increase in size a little to provide more space in the cabin, especially in the rear seats. The front end will be redesigned and will feature sharper, thinner headlights and a larger grille that is now wider and lower. The rear will also be redesigned, where we will find headlights with a new light signature. Overall, the SUV will have a more modern look than the current one.

The cabin will be available to passengers a lot of technology as shown by some spy photos that have surfaced in the past and circulated on the Internet. Behind the wheel we will find digital instruments, and the large panel of the infotainment system itself will be integrated centrally on the dashboard. Perceived quality will also improve due to the presence of new coatings.

On the mechanical front, the new MG ZS is expected to feature the new hybrid system that we saw on the MG3 Hybrid+. We are talking about a power plant that combines a gasoline unit with a capacity of 102 hp. and 128 Nm (volume 1.5 l, Atkinson cycle) with an electric motor producing 136 hp. and 250 Nm, drawing energy from a battery with a capacity of 1.83 kWh. The full hybrid powertrain produces a total of 195 hp.

We just have to wait for news about the arrival of this new model to find out more.
