The WaterLily turbine can generate electricity by transferring water and powering various devices.
The WaterLily device is a portable power generator that can use the energy of flowing water to generate electricity. The invention was recently presented by Seaformatics (Canada), Ecoticias reported.
The WaterLily turbine consists of a propeller encased in a durable housing. If submerged in water, the propeller will start spinning and generate electricity if the wind or current is strong enough. The electricity is then distributed via a waterproof cable. The portable power generator from Seaformatics weighs 45 grams and can produce up to 15W of power, which is enough to charge mobile phones, cameras, headphones, smart bracelets, power banks, camping lights and speakers.
The fixing system allows you to fix the device so that it effectively captures the water flow. The impeller provides maximum turbine efficiency when the water flow rate is 1.6 km/h or less. Another remarkable feature of the WaterLily design is that it does not stop generating electricity like wind turbines do in very bad weather conditions. As long as there is a continuous water flow, it can generate electricity even in rain, snow or on a cloudy day. The electric generator is suitable for outdoor activities, camping users and people living near rivers and streams.
We have previously written that new flower devices will provide free energy all year round. A “bouquet” of five tulip turbines is capable of producing 228% more energy than if all five turbines were operated separately.
It was also reported that the solar panels would be 25 percent more efficient, while stability would increase to 98 percent. The HEHP photocell retained more than 98 percent of its original efficiency after 1,000 hours of operation. This demonstrates the suitability of the perovskite cell for long-term real-world applications.
