According to HYLENR, they used a low-energy reactor to create a cold fusion reaction using small amounts of hydrogen and electricity, thus producing heat and energy through nuclear fusion.

The experiment showed that the reactor can produce at least 1.5 times more heat and energy than the amount spent to initiate the synthesis reaction. Therefore, this technology is promising for clean fusion energy production. The Indian company wants to increase energy production by 2.5 times compared to the energy consumed to initiate cold nuclear fusion.

As scientists explain, cold nuclear fusion occurs when two hydrogen atoms combine, resulting in the formation of unstable helium-3. Fusion then occurs with another hydrogen atom, forming stable helium-4. The release of excess hydrogen creates heat and energy.

As the world looks for cleaner ways to meet its energy needs, nuclear fusion is seen as the best way to produce unlimited energy.

It is worth noting that cold fusion technology has been controversial among physicists for decades, with some believing that the technology may not be viable.

The fact is that the basis of thermonuclear energy is found in hydrogen fusion reactions that occur in the core of the Sun and other stars, where the temperature is about 15 million degrees Celsius. At the same time, the highest pressure is needed for thermonuclear fusion to occur. The fact that full solar conditions cannot be created in experimental thermonuclear reactors led to the fact that physicists had to spend a lot of energy to initiate thermonuclear fusion, and the plasma in such reactors heated up to 100 million degrees Celsius. In fact, this is the difference between “hot” fusion and cold fusion. But the thermonuclear reaction of steel has not yet been sustained for a long time. At the same time, physicists have so far managed to obtain only a small amount of excess energy as a result of fusion. But experiments in this direction are ongoing.

Time will tell whether the cold fusion technology demonstrated by an Indian firm will actually work as it is supposed to. But the start is promising. Using this technology, it may be possible to generate enormous amounts of clean thermonuclear energy.
