Skoda Elroq debuts officially. It’s about new electric SUV which we have talked about many times in the past thanks to spy photos and previews shared directly by the car manufacturer. Now it’s time to find out all the latest details of this model, considered as the successor to the Karoq. It can already be pre-ordered, with deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2025.
We’ve seen the new SUV a few times, albeit in disguise. Measures Skoda Elroq Length 4488 mm, width 1884 mm, height 1625 mm, wheelbase 2765 mm. Weight is 1949 kg. The trunk has a volume of 470 liters. which can be increased to 1580 liters by folding the rear seat backs.

The taillights also follow the Modern Solid design language with thin lines and a minimalist 2D look. The top version offers dynamic turn indicators, illuminated crystal elements, animation when opening the tailgate and the ability to choose between two “Coming/Leaving Home” animations, which are integrated into the headlights.
Skoda has done a lot of work on aerodynamics and the result is Cx 0.26. The new electric SUV will be equipped with alloy wheels ranging in size from 19 to 21 inches, optimized from an aerodynamic point of view.
As for the interior, the style is minimalistic. However, there is a lot of technology here. Behind the steering wheel is a digital instrument panel with a 5-inch screen. Eco-friendly materials have been used for the passenger compartment, and there is no shortage of small storage compartments with a total capacity of 48 liters. We already knew a thing or two about the powertrain performance that Skoda had expected in the past. Skoda Elroq builds on the famous OIE platform Volkswagen Group and will be offered in Elroq 50, 60, 85 and 85x versions.
In more detail, the Elroq 50 will have rear-wheel drive and a 55 kWh battery (52 kWh net) that powers a 125 kW electric motor. Autonomy 370 km. The Elroq 60 is equipped with a 63 kWh battery (net 59 kWh) with a range of over 400 km. Version with 150 kW electric motor. Both of these models have a top speed of 160 km/h.
The Elroq 85 and Elroq 85x variants are equipped with a battery capacity of 82 kWh (77 kWh net). The Elroq 85 has rear-wheel drive and a motor with a peak power of 210 kW, while the Elroq 85x offers two motors, hence there is all-wheel drive and a peak power of 220 kW. Both versions of the Elroq 85 and 85x have a top speed of 180 km/h. Eloroq 85 is the model with the greatest autonomy, more than 560 km.
As for charging, variants with a larger battery will be able to be charged with direct current with a power of up to 175 kW. It takes 28 minutes to go from 10% to 80% charge. For the Elroq 50 and Elroq 60, which support charging rates of up to 145 kW and 165 kW respectively, the same process takes 25 minutes or less. In alternating current, all models can be charged at a power of 11 kW.
The new SUV also comes with a pre-conditioning feature that brings the battery to the optimum temperature to ensure the best charging performance. The process can be started manually by pressing a button on the infotainment system display, or automatically on the way to the charging station based on navigation data and battery temperature.
There will obviously be no shortage of all the cutting-edge driver assistance systems that Skoda has developed for its latest models. The latest version of Travel Assist, for example, combines Adaptive Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist and Side Driving Assist.
Skoda Elroq will also be available in Sportline version with details that make it more sporty. The Elroq Sportline will be available in Italy in 60 and 85 variants.
