Anyone can purchase components for a UAV, and members of the Social Drone Ua initiative will help assemble and test the drone for free.
In Lviv, volunteers started the Social Drone Ua initiative, which teaches people to build drones at home for the Ukrainian Defense Forces and then tests the products for free. Representatives of Social Drone UA spoke about their work in a report from Suspilny.
According to UAV pilot Anatoly, if you assemble drones strictly according to the instructions, the likelihood of any problems occurring is minimal. Volunteers note that the drones are checked in several stages before being checked out at the front and repaired immediately if necessary. Previously, devices were tested only in Kiev, now in Lvov.
“In order not to delay the transportation of the drone for a week, something can be repaired quickly, we repair it and immediately give it back to the guys for a flight,” said Roman, one of the participants in the initiative.
Important
As part of the Social Drone Ua initiative, anyone can build a UAV. To do this, you need to read the instructions on the organization’s website and also purchase the components yourself.
Nikolai Kotsabyuk, a representative of the volunteer initiative, told reporters that he assembled the first drone in about two days. In the future, this time can be reduced to 2-3 hours. Also, assembly time depends on whether the person has worked with a soldering iron before. There are special training boards where you can learn to solder according to the volunteer.
After the tests are completed, the completed UAV is sent to the unit determined by the person determined before the test or to the army with which the volunteers cooperate within the scope of the initiative.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Middle .Net Developer Pavel Somko described how he purchased parts and electronics to assemble an FPV drone on his own, spending only about 7,000 Hryvnias.
Earlier, Violetta Oleinik from Chernivtsi also said: FocusHow he independently assembled unmanned aerial vehicles for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
