Simple snack. cod liver salad recipe

This salad is perfect for serving in tartlets or on toast.

Previously, when cod liver was considered a delicacy and fell short, few lucky people were preparing such a salad. But now anyone can cook.

The classic cod liver salad is prepared without dressing. The liver is already rich in healthy fats. Preparing the salad is as easy as peeling the pears – the ingredients are ground and mixed for a delicious spread.

Cod liver and egg salad

Contents:

  • Cod liver – 1 can;
  • six eggs;
  • a light bulb;
  • Parsley, green onions, salt.

Boil the eggs well and finely chop the green onion and parsley. We knead the eggs and cod liver with a fork or, if you want a smoother texture, pass them through a blender. Mix with herbs and serve.

But there is another version of the cod liver salad with cheese and mayonnaise, which is somewhat complicated. It is also ideal for a festive table and serving in portions. Therefore, if you plan to surprise your guests with tartlets, this salad will be an excellent choice. you can substitute eggs

Cod liver salad with cheese

Contents:

  • Cod liver – 1 can;
  • Two eggs;
  • Small bulb;
  • Rice or regular vinegar – 2 tsp;
  • Hard cheese – 70 g;
  • Mayonnaise, salt, pepper.

Hard-boil eggs, cool and peel. Finely chop and put in a bowl. Also chop the onion very finely, mix it with vinegar and leave for ten minutes so that the onion marinates and loses its bitterness.

Grate hard cheese on a coarse or medium grater. Remove the canned cod liver from the jar and mash with a fork. Add cheese and liver to the eggs, squeeze the vinegar from the onions and add to the other ingredients. Add mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste and serve.

And from another previously scarce product – sprat, you can also cook a delicious pate with cheese. Interestingly, this is a Danish dish and is usually served for breakfast and lunch.
