After the scandalous memoirs of Prince Harry were published, King Charles III concluded that his youngest son had finally decided to sever all ties with his British relatives. Quoting LBC biographers Harry and Meghan Omid Scobie, the monarch without thinking twice announced that the Dukes of Sussex should vacate Frogmore Cabin in Windsor and offered to move there to his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew. Buckingham Palace has already issued a statement regarding the couple.
The Dukes of Sussex were told that “someone else” needed the estate as relations between them and the rest of the royal family remained at “an unprecedented low”.
“Sources tell me, this news stunned Harry and Meghan and at least two members of the royal family were ‘shocked,'” Scobie said.
Now Prince Harry and his wife are busy planning how to send some of the remaining property on Frogmore to the United States. Initially, the father gave Harry two weeks to collect things, but later increased the evacuation period before the coronation.
A friend of the Sussexes reacted to such a decision of the monarch, “All this seems like a very final and cruel punishment. It’s as if the family wants to erase them from the pictures forever.”
Prince Andrew, who has been living in the 98-acre Royal Mansion since 2003, was asked to leave his 30-room mansion and was offered the Frogmore Cabin instead. The older brother-king explained this decision by the fact that the property was expensive to maintain and had to be repaired anyway. Charles III plans to reduce Andrew’s annual allowance by £249,000.
Andrew is said to be against moving, but Harry and Meghan will have to leave the cottage, their only remaining home in the UK, whether they move in or not.
