It wasn’t until she gave up on overly restrictive diets, endless workouts, or all-or-nothing thinking that Sophie achieved consistent results.

First, Allen stopped dieting, exhausted himself with exercise, used apparently ineffective weight loss programs, and abandoned the all-or-nothing approach. She started to adopt an inclusive nutrition approach, following the 80/20 rule of food in this approach: eat 80% healthy and 20% less what you like.

Second, he limited his workouts. He now does a complex of just five exercises per workout and only works out three or at most four times a week. Now exercises are aimed not at burning calories, but at keeping them within the necessary norm. That’s why Sophie says her body has never looked this good.

Allen typically eats about 2,000 calories a day, including healthy fats, carbohydrates, fiber and protein. The trainer admits that she could never refuse meat from her diet, as it provides so many essential nutrients that she doesn’t get from other sources.

“People often ask me if I can go vegan. As someone who has had low iron levels in the past and was very careful about the micronutrient content in food, I wouldn’t want to do that anytime soon,” Sophie stressed. She recommends eating red meat because it has many health benefits. Not only does it provide the body with essential nutrients such as iron, zinc, magnesium and protein that are difficult to obtain from other non-animal sources, it is also beneficial when taken regularly. Sophie tries to maintain her recommended intake of 65 grams per day.

What foods should be consumed in order not to gain weight:

  • Protein: very lean organic ground beef, shrimp, chicken breast, protein powder, eggs and egg whites.
  • carbohydrates: gluten-free bread, gluten-free dairy-free buns, pita bread, rice cakes, chocolate-coated mini rice cakes, dark chocolate, reduced sugar and salt tomato sauce.
  • healthy fats: peanut butter, almond flour, macadamia nut, vegan cheese.
  • Fruits and vegetables: pineapple, banana, zucchini, cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli, tomatoes, basil, lettuce, blueberries and strawberries.
