Today, the memory of 42 martyrs from the city of Amorite, especially Constantine, is commemorated with respect in the Orthodox Church. Saint Constantine lived in the 9th century and was a priest. However, Constantine left his rank to protect the city of Ammorea from the Saracens. He was captured along with 41 other defenders and taken to Syria. There, the Muslims forced the soldiers to renounce the Christian faith and convert to Islam. However, Constantine remained faithful to God, with which he was thrown into the Euphrates.
