Greek prosecutors investigate scientist for April Fool’s Fool on Santorini

The seismologist said that a funnel will form under the island, which is popular for tourism on social networks, and will draw the waters of the Aegean Sea. Greek law enforcement did not appreciate the joke, and now the scientist mocks the cruelty for humor.

The Greek prosecutor’s office decided to inspect Akis Tselentis, head of the Geodynamics Institute. The man joked that on April 1st, the magma beneath Santorini would turn into a funnel, which would turn the Aegean Sea into a lagoon. This is known from the AFP material.

On April 1, Celentis published a post warning its subscribers of problems with Santorini. He wrote that scientists discovered the gradual disappearance of magma beneath the volcanic island. He says the magma was transported to another volcano, forming a “huge funnel” below Santorini.

“If this happens, we will have absorbed the waters of the Aegean Sea and turned into a lagoon. Of course, this also has its advantages, because now we can travel to many islands by road! It is unlikely that this will happen” is negligible and exceeds 30%,” assured the scientist.

In the Greek prosecutor’s office, the task of a seismologist was perceived as spreading fakes, but he also joked about it.

“Since I don’t smoke, take me bananas to jail,” the man wrote.

Çelenis also criticized the authorities for investigating humor against the backdrop of more serious issues such as pedophilia, rape and the death of civilians as a result of earthquakes. He emphasized that the prosecutor’s office finds people incapable of understanding the April 1 joke.

“I hope this sinkhole opens under Santorini, absorbs everything it needs, and we are saved,” said the scientist.

Recall that on April 5, the media published the longevity advice of 100-year-old American Shirley Goodman. She told reporters that chocolate helps her stay in shape.

Also on April 5, Russian journalists reported that an alleged Ukrainian pilot was detained in the Bryansk region. He said he had to control the Ukrainian air defense and was wearing a bulletproof vest because of the risk of being hit by the defense.
