Trashed dog becomes police animal of the year

Buzz Malinois (Belgian Shepherd) has been named South Yorkshire Police Animal of the Year after helping officers search 26 arrests, 71 chases and 38 missing persons over the course of a year, SYP reports.

The dog was found wandering the streets of Bradford in West Yorkshire in August 2021. When the animal was examined, it was found to be a chip. It turns out that the dog has an owner. When the man got a call about Buzz, he said they didn’t want a puppy. So he found himself at Cliffe Kennels in Barnsley.
