A courtier quietly removed the phrase “His Majesty” from the Duke of Sussex’s profile page. Additionally, the names of Harry and Meghan Markle have also been moved to the bottom of the family’s homepage, below the working members of the royal family, but directly above Prince Andrew.

Prior to the website updates, 38-year-old Harry has been referred to as “His Majesty” twice, and is also named after his father, King George III. He is reportedly referred to as the youngest son of Charles’ title, the Prince of Wales. before it was passed on to his brother, Prince William.

Harry and Markle, 42, have agreed to relinquish their “His Majesty” titles after resigning as senior members of the royal family and moving to the United States in January 2020.

It took years for the royal family to remove the duke’s “His Majesty” title from its website, but in June 2021 it was removed from a Kensington Palace exhibit showing the wedding dress of his late mother, Princess Diana. Before fans noticed the ‘administrative error’, a poster appeared next to the famous 1981 wedding dress on display that read ‘Courtesy of HRH The Duke of Cambridge and HRH The Duke of Sussex’.

However, just a few days later the error was corrected and replaced with “Given by His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex”.
