66-year-old People’s Artist of Ukraine Oksana Bilozira said that she has the status of a war participant and has four awards “For Courage”. The star of show business talked about this in an interview with the presenter Slava Demin.
As it turned out, the singer spent almost six months in total in Afghanistan during the period of active hostilities.
“I was in Afghanistan twice during Soviet rule. About six months in total. We went through pretty tough tests there. War is war. We were where it was broken, where it was destroyed. “Outside, where it’s dangerous, the bullets are over your head,” Bilozir said.
Oksana Bilozir was there as an artist, performing for the fighters. As artists, they traveled all over Afghanistan. Artists were transported throughout the warring country by armored personnel carriers and helicopters.
“We were opened fire on, our bus was blown up. I have four medals for bravery,” added Oksana Bilozir.
As part of the interview, the artist also said that he plans to return to politics in the near future.
“I really want to run for parliament, because I am a professional MP, I know a lot, I can do a lot, I have the right ideas, I have a core based in Ukraine, I am not a businessman, I live honestly,” Bilozir said, “I pay taxes. I go and shape the right agenda for the country.” “I have the right. I am a warrior,” he added.
The artist emphasized that he has been in politics for 17 years and has done nothing wrong during this time.
