Ukrainian media members, celebrities and foreign diplomats gathered at a party to celebrate the start of the 12th Austrian Film Week in the capital.
With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Ukraine, a party was held in the former Kiev cinema “Zhovten” on the occasion of the official opening of the 12th “Austrian Film Week” festival. Focus attended the event.
The beginning of the film festival took place with the screening of Hans Steinbichler’s dramatic film “A Whole Life”, adapted from Robert Seethaler’s novel of the same name. The movie theater was decorated as the entrance to the Belvedere Palace in Vienna.
Guests of the opening include actresses Rimma Zyubina, Natalya Babenko, singer Anna Zavalskaya, Deputy Minister of Culture Taras Shevchenko, blogger Marina Teplova, bloggers Stepan Yeranosyan, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week Maxim Kireev Irina Danilevskaya, producer Alexey Gladushevsky, Yana Altukhova, presenter of the TV channel ” Kiev” Olesya Turchin, star make-up artist Ksenia Vovk, co-founder Anna Malinovskaya, designer and stylist Angela Chigrin, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire Irina Tatarenko, film critic Dmitry Sidorenko, editor-in-chief of ELLE Ukraine Sonya Zabuga et al.
Diplomats from European countries also attended the event: Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Ontal Geyser, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Valeriu Chiver, Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Ukraine Elena Leticia Teresa Mikusinski, Ambassador Radek Pech. Austrian Film Week has been held annually in Ukraine for over 11 years. The only exception was 2022 due to a full-scale Russian invasion.
The grand opening of the film festival was celebrated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine, who made a solemn speech to the audience.
