“Bad Boys 4” broke a franchise record: what exactly is it about?

If the franchise team decides to make a fifth movie, they will have to work hard to raise the viewership level even further.

Bad Boys: All or Nothing, the fourth film in the Bad Boys franchise, broke a record with a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest-rated film in the action-comedy franchise, Screen Rant reported. Released 29 years after the first episode, the film showed that various police officers are still loved by audiences.

In the film, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence play two police friends who try to preserve the good memory of their captain (Joe Pantoliano), who is traditionally accused of corruption.

“Bad Boys 4” has grossed $53 million against a budget of $100 million since its release on June 7.

No film in the series managed to score below 75% from audiences, but there was a significant increase in audience ratings after directors Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah took over the leadership from Michael Bay.

Ratings for Bad Boys have increased over the years among both viewers and critics. Although the movie “All or Nothing” is not the most liked by critics, the audience is happy with it.

If the franchise team considers making a fifth part of the movie, they will have to do everything possible and impossible to exceed the number of likes of the previous film.

The success of the fourth part has its own explanations. Thus, due to adequate but not too long breaks between films, each previous episode managed to find viewers both in theaters and at home, giving them the opportunity to feel nostalgic. The fact that each episode brings back important characters from the past adds to this nostalgia and allows new episodes to deepen the stories of their predecessors.

The chemistry between Smith and Lawrence, who have grown stronger over the years as an odd couple, stands out.
