James Middleton has touchingly confessed his love for his French wife.
James Middleton, 37, the younger brother of Princess Catherine of Wales, celebrated the third anniversary of his marriage with his girlfriend, financial analyst Elise Thévenet, and delighted his 346,000 followers on Instagram with a wedding photo he took on the occasion that had never been shown before.
In the published photo, he is kissing his wife, who is leaning on a hay bale, with their two dogs next to them.
“Je t’aime, mon coeur. Happy anniversary, Elise. Our third anniversary as husband and wife, our second without Ella but our first as parents,” he wrote in the frame. Ella is James’ beloved dog who saved him from severe depression and was the reason he met his future wife. The man took her death very hard.
Middleton and Thevenet met in 2018 and announced their engagement in 2019. In an article for The Telegraph, James said Ella introduced him to Eliza when she “rushed” to meet her future husband at the South Kensington club in Chelsea. According to the story, Eliza mistook James for a waiter and ordered a drink after Ella ran up to him.
“Little did I know that through Ella I had met my future wife. If I hadn’t trusted Ella I wouldn’t have brought her to the South Kensington club and she wouldn’t have been able to say hello to me. ” he admitted.
The couple were planning to get married in May 2020 but everything had to be cancelled due to coronavirus. They got married “surrounded by family and friends” in the French village of Bormes-les-Mimosas on the Cote d’Azur as Elise is French.
The couple’s first child, named Inigo, was born in October of last year.
