Colombian-born Ukrainian chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo spoke harshly about corruption in Ukraine. The MasterChef jury shared their thoughts on Instagram.
Jimenez-Bravo wrote that he was “tired of corruption in Ukraine.”
“Corruption is a disease that poisons our state from within. But we can stop it if we start from ourselves. We refuse to remain silent. While fighting an external enemy, do not forget to fight against the worn out. Our country deserves a bright future, where there is only room for honesty, justice and development, when viewed from the inside,” says the TV presenter.
Jimenez-Bravo, in particular, recalled how his mother taught him that to get to the top, sometimes you have to get to the bottom first.
“I thought a full-scale debut was where we would start to take off,” the culinary expert wrote.
“But the corruption in our system is deepening instead of fighting the enemy within us,” Hector added.
He believes that what is currently being done regarding the corruption problem is just a “demonstration fight”.
“But I, as someone who dreams of seeing Ukraine successful, will not put up with this,” the TV presenter emphasized.
