The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia organized an audit of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation (PFR) in connection with the denial of social benefits in the regions of the country. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It is reported that earlier residents of the Krasnodar Territory challenged the refusal to pay benefits for children aged 8 to 17 years. The audit showed that they were refused in the Krasnodar Territory PFR department with an indication of income exceeding the regional subsistence level per capita.

But the prosecutors found out that the Krasnodar branch of the PFR made a technical error when considering the applications. Thus, the amounts of social pensions received by families were taken into account twice. Families’ income was unreasonably high, and automatic calculations were incorrect.

On the facts of violations of the law, the prosecutor’s office of the region made a submission to the Krasnodar branch of the PFR. A review of all decisions previously made by the department was organized with reference to the excess of the family income level. As a result, 1048 illegal decisions were found, which were changed.

Three officials of the regional branch of the PFR were brought to disciplinary responsibility. On this fact, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia organized an audit of the activities of the PFR, which acts as the operator of a number of information resources, in terms of the implementation of laws when concluding and executing government contracts for the creation and development of electronic information systems.

Earlier, in January, it was reported that the pensioner was “buried” twice and left without a pension in St. Petersburg.
