The Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about the defeat of the 2nd mechanized battalion and the 14th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian military over the past day.
The representative of the department, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, specified that the battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 340 people killed and wounded, and the rest fled from the battlefield.
The command post of the Ukrainian armed forces near the village of Voronovitsa, Vinnytsia region, was also destroyed. The Russian military neutralized three additional ammunition depots in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
“During the counter-battery fight, two artillery batteries were hit, including American M777A2 howitzers near the village of Veseleye in the Donetsk People’s Republic”– said Konashenkov.
In total, since the start of the special operation to protect Donbass, the Russian military has destroyed 363 anti-aircraft missile systems, 4278 tanks and 794 multiple rocket launchers.
