Izvestia showed footage of demining Mariupol airport

Mariupol Airport is another location that requires careful demining. A sapper group from Russia, together with cadets from the DPR, will conduct a practical lesson, followed by demining the territory. According to Izvestiya correspondent Danil Yemelyanov, the well-proven Uran-6 robotic complex will be used for this.

It is designed to clear the area from anti-personnel mines and other explosive objects. Such a machine is controlled by remote equipment, which increases its efficiency, and also ensures the safety of sappers.

“Uranas” are engaged in demining the runway. Six such machines at once are capable of coping with the territory in a few minutes, on which human sappers would have to spend hours.
