In Hungary, the filling of gas storage facilities is actively underway, it is moving ahead of schedule, 141% of winter gas consumption has already been accumulated. At this time, other European countries are experiencing difficulties with this, RIA Novosti reports a message from the adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary on political issues, Balazs Orban.
He called the degree of provision of Hungary with gas storages one of the highest in the European Union.
“The gas supply of our country is secured: the volume of gas in storage facilities is 34% of the total annual consumption, 141% of winter consumption and 82% of annual household consumption,” Orban wrote on social media.
At the same time, Orban noted that Germany is now in the most difficult situation, “where the amount of stored natural gas covers only 19% of annual consumption.”
Recall that earlier Hungary decided to increase the volume of Russian gas supplies. It was reported that Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto agreed with Russia on the supply of an additional 2.6 million cubic meters by the end of August. Blue fuel will be supplied to Hungary through the Turkish Stream pipeline.
