Ukrainian troops are trying to damage the cooling system of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This can lead to a catastrophe, which in its scale will surpass the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region.

He stressed that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine set the task for the soldiers – to hit the cooling system. “God forbid, if this happens, but it’s hot here, we have over 30 degrees all the time now, not to mention the fact that there is still a fission process, then, in fact, it will no longer be a “dirty bomb”, but a real nuclear bomb“, – said Rogov on the air of the Soloviev Live program.

He added that in this case there would be an explosion of a nuclear reactor, in comparison with which the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant would seem “just flowers.”

Rogov also accused the Ukrainian military of targeting the station’s cooling system. In his opinion, Western experts advise the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this issue.

Recall that since August 7, militants have been shelling the object with the use of American GMLRS missiles almost daily. At the same time, Kyiv is unsuccessfully trying to “shift arrows” to Moscow, but no one believed in such a “crazy” version at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

Russia called the actions of the Ukrainians an act of nuclear terrorism, capable of provoking a “second Chernobyl”.
