“The Coast Guard and our local partners have responded to the report of the ship in distress and, after ensuring the safety of all involved, have moved on to enforcing the country’s immigration laws. The Coast Guard regularly patrols the California coast to combat illegal immigration and keep everyone on the water safe,” Captain Manning added.
