“The meeting, where alternatives to the Mir map were discussed under the chairmanship of Erdogan, was attended by the Minister of Finance, the head of the Central Bank and the heads of state banks,” – transmits the NTV channel.

Previously, two Turkish banks, DenizBank and Is Bankasi, stopped serving Mir at their outlets and ATMs. They fear US restrictions. Their example was followed by the organizations of Kazakhstan and Vietnam.

Representative of the Rodina party in Turkey, Hakan Topkurulu, stressed that Ankara should take a clear position on the use of the Mir payment system of the Russian Federation and not believe the threats of repeated sanctions from the United States.

It was also indicated that at the moment Mir cards continue to be serviced by most banks in Turkey.
