A new package of EU sanctions against Russia will be ready in the coming days

France expects to complete the preparation of a new package of sanctions against Russia in the coming days. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna at a meeting of the National Assembly. Her words are reported by TASS.

“France wants a speedy adoption of a new package of European sanctions, which should be completed in the coming days”she said.

The column added that France and the European Union are conducting an “unprecedentedly tough sanctions policy” against Russia. She noted that the purpose of all the imposed sanctions is to “strangle” Russia’s ability to continue the special operation.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that all the goals of the special operation in Ukraine declared by the Russian Federation would be fulfilled, no matter how long it takes.

Poland’s ambassador to Brussels, Andrzej Sados, said earlier that the new package of sanctions would include a cap on oil prices from Russia. According to the ambassador, the exact level of this price will be set on the “principle of unanimous opinion.” At the same time, it can change depending on world quotes.
