The Ukrainian Security Service announced that a blogger was detained who posted a video of the Burshtyn TPP after the shelling. Such information appeared on October 20 in the Telegram channel of the SBU.

The blogger showed the consequences of missiles hitting the station. According to representatives of the service, he did this allegedly in order to attract new subscribers.

“The SBU detained a blogger who published a video of the shelling of the Burshtynska thermal power plant in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The blogger filmed the consequences of rocket hits on a critical infrastructure facility and posted it on his Telegram channel”– stated in the message of the SBU.

At the same time, the service reports that the detainee “is not a spotter and did not intend to assist the enemy.” Also, the Ukrainians were reminded that it is forbidden to shoot and post on the Internet footage from the places where the shells hit.

Recall that on October 10, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with the Security Council, at which he stated that the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which was carried out on October 8 by the Ukrainian special services, should not be left unanswered. At the suggestion of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and according to the plan of the General Staff, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a massive strike with long-range precision weapons on energy, military command and communications facilities of Ukraine. Explosions occurred in Kyiv, Kharkov, Lvov, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro, Zaporozhye, Odessa and other large cities. As noted in the Ministry of Defense, all goals were achieved.

From the Ukrainian media, it became known about explosions in Krivoy Rog, Rivne, Kyiv region, as well as in the city of Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv region. Later it was reported that explosions were also heard in Lvov. An air alert was declared throughout Ukraine.

At a press conference in Astana on October 15, Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Defense Ministry had not hit seven more targets in Ukraine out of 29 planned. And on October 17, it became known that the Russian military continued to strike at military command and control facilities and the energy system of Ukraine. The Ukrainian media reported on powerful explosions in the center of Kyiv. It was also reported that the air alert was again announced in the Kyiv region. According to a number of media reports, the alarm was also sounded in the Zhytomyr, Vinnitsa, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Nikolaev and Odessa regions.
